HELLO!

My name is Sarah Glemnitz. I am a graduating student of Crossmedia Design at the ArtEZ AKI, Academy of Fine Art & Design in Enschede, the Netherlands.

My profession at the moment is illustration, although I used to photograph for several years. I usually combine both media. I like it when my work effects people – whether it defines, inspires, provokes or amuses people, but I'm hunting especially for the amusement.

chapters

some trials i did for the cover of my book, i also changed my mind about the look of the chapters. i used to put a clean .ai - file of gelsenkirchens map and the name of the citypart on the pictures, but that didn't fit the complete look of the book, everything is more ruff and unperfect. so i needed to paint or write directly on the pictures. i tried some white eddings, copics and poscas, but they turned out unsuitable. i found the perfect look by using white nail polish, with a very thin brush. the white wasn't superclean white anymore as it happened with the other pens i tried, it got a little more numb creme white look. see the pictures below!
